How to Reach Dehradun: Getting to Dehradun, the gateway to the Rupin Pass Trek, is convenient via various modes of transportation:
Gather at Dehradun Railway Station by 7 AM. Embark on a scenic drive to Mori, passing by attractions like Kempty waterfalls, Nainbagh, and Mussoorie. Sankri, nestled in Uttarkashi within Govind Wildlife Sanctuary, welcomes you with views of the majestic Swargrohini peaks. Spend the evening admiring the captivating scenery and settle into hotels or homestays for the night.
Drive from Sankri to Taluka covering 12 km in approximately 1 hour. Begin your trek from Taluka, following a stone pathway descending to the river bed. Pass through villages like Ghangad and cross bridges along the way. After a trek of 12 km lasting 7-8 hours, arrive at Seema, a serene camping area. Spend the night in tents under the starry sky.
Continue your journey to Ruinsara Lake, traversing through meadows and streams. Camp between the lake and Supin river, surrounded by snow-capped peaks, and immerse yourself in the breathtaking views of the Himalayas.
Trek to Odari through forests, rivers, and meadows, witnessing higher peaks and sparse vegetation along the way. Arrive at Odari, a cave believed to be Bali's home, offering clear views of Swargrohini I and II. Set up camp and rest amidst the serene surroundings.
Embark on a steep climb with a 60-degree inclined path, culminating at Bali col camp. Rest in tents after a challenging day of trekking.
Cross Bali Pass for panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. Descend carefully, navigating steep paths, and reach Lower Dhamni. Settle into tents for a well-deserved rest after a long day of trekking.
Descend to Jaan ki Chatti via a well-defined trail. Leave early for Dehradun, marking the end of your adventurous trek through the Himalayas.
